There is no repository available for Jitsi, but we can easily download the deb/rpm packages and install them on Debian/Red Hat based systems. Follow the instructions for your system exactly, in order to get a successful installation.

How to install Jitsi 2.2 stable on Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Debian, Elementary OS and Pear OS:

Instructions for 32 bit systems:

$ wget -c https://download.jitsi.org/jitsi/debian/jitsi_2.2-latest_i386.deb
$ sudo dpkg -i jitsi_2.2-latest_i386.deb
$ sudo apt-get install -f

Instructions for 64 bit systems:
