Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, KDE 4.11 has been released yesterday. For a list of features and improvements, see the official announcement.
In this article I will show you how to install KDE 4.11 on Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia and Linux Mint 13 Maya.
Because it is available in the Kubuntu Backports PPA, installing KDE 4.11 or upgrading the existing KDE version to KDE 4.11 is easy.
How to install KDE 4.11 on Ubuntu and Linux Mint:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop
How to update the existing KDE version to KDE 4.11, on Ubuntu and Linux Mint:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get upgrade
