Hello Linux Geeksters. As a reminder, KDE 4.12.2 has been released a while ago, coming with more than 20 bug-fixes, an updated version of Okular, an improved Kontact app and many others.
In this article I will show you how to install KDE 4.12.2 on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander and Linux Mint 16 Petra.
Because it is available via the Kubuntu PPA, installing KDE 4.12.2 on Ubuntu 13.10 and Linux Mint 16 is easy. All you have to do is add the ppa to your system, update the local repository index and install the needed packages. Like this:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install kde-standard kubuntu-desktop
