Hello Linux Geeksters. LibreOffice 3.6.7 RC1 has been released recently, with a few bugfixes and improvements. A list of new features can be seen here.

In this article I will show you how to install LibreOffice 3.6.7 RC1 on Fedora 19, Fedora 18, Fedora 17, OpenSUSE 13.1, OpenSUSE 12.3, OpenSUSE 12.2, Mageia 3, Mageia 2, CentOS 6 and other RHEL derivates. how to install LibreOffice 3.6.7 RC1 on Fedora 19, Fedora 18, Fedora 17, OpenSUSE 13.1, OpenSUSE 12.3, OpenSUSE 12.2, Mageia 3, Mageia 2, CentOS 6 and other RHEL derivates.

There isn’t any repository available, so we have to download the archive, extract it and exec the source packages.

Instructions for 32 bit systems. Download LibreOffice 3.6.7 RC1:

$ wget -c download.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/testing/3.6.7/rpm/x86/LibO_3.6.7.1_Linux_x86_install-rpm_en-US.tar.gz

Extract the archive and cd into the newly extracted folder:

$ tar -xzvf LibO_3.6.7.1_Linux_x86_install-rpm_en-US.tar.gz
$ cd LibO_3.6.7.1_Linux_x86_install-rpm_en-US/RPMS

Install LibreOffice 3.6.7 RC1:

$ sudo rpm -i *.rpm
$ cd desktop-integration
$ sudo rpm -i *.rpm

Instructions for 64 bit systems. Download LibreOffice 3.6.7 RC1:

$ wget -c download.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/testing/3.6.7/rpm/x86_64/LibO_3.6.7.1_Linux_x86-64_install-rpm_en-US.tar.gz

Extract the archive and cd into the newly extracted folder:

$ tar -xzvf download.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/testing/3.6.7/rpm/x86_64/LibO_3.6.7.1_Linux_x86-64_install-rpm_en-US.tar.gz
$ cd LibO_3.6.7.1_Linux_x86-64_install-rpm_en-US/RPMS

Install LibreOffice 3.6.7 RC1:

$ sudo rpm -i *.rpm
$ cd desktop-integration
$ sudo rpm -i *.rpm
