Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, LibreOffice 4.2.2 RC 1 has been recently released, bringing only minor improvements to the previous version.
In this article I will show you how to install LibreOffice 4.2.2 RC1 on Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr.
Because it is availalbe via the LibreOffice PreReleases PPA, installing LibreOffice 4.2.2 RC1 on Ubuntu 14.04 is easy. All you have to do is remove the old libreoffice, add the ppa to your system, update the local repository index and install the libreoffice package. Like this:
$ sudo apt-get purge libreoffice-core
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/libreoffice-prereleases
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install libreoffice
