In this article I will show you how to install LiVES 2.2.6 on Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr, Linux Mint 17 Qiana, Elementary OS 0.3 Freya, Pinguy OS 14.04, LXLE 14.04, Peppermint Five, Linux Lite 2.0, Deepin 2014 and other Ubuntu derivative systems.

Because it is available via PPA, installing LiVES 2.2.6 on the listed Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Elementary OS, LXLE, Peppermint, Linux Lite, Pinguy OS and Deepin systems is easy. All you have to do is add the ppa to your system, update the local repository index and install the lives package. Like this:
