In this article I will show you how to install Livestreamer 1.5.2 on Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 13 Maya and Elementary OS 0.2 Luna.

Because it is available via the GetDeb repository, installing Livestreamer 1.5.2 on Ubuntu, Linux Mint and Elementary OS is easy. All you have to do is download and install the repository, update the local index and install the python-livestreamer package. Like this:

$ wget http://archive.getdeb.net/install_deb/getdeb-repository_0.1-1~getdeb1_all.deb
$ sudo dpkg -i getdeb-repository_0.1-1~getdeb1_all.deb
