Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, LMMS is a cross-platform application, similar to FL Studio, allowing the users to produce and remix music. The latest version available is LMMS 188.8.131.52, bringing a few bug-fixes and improvements only.
In this article I will show you how to install LMMS 184.108.40.206 on Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr, Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 17 Qiana, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 13 Maya, Elementary OS 0.3 Freya, Elementary OS 0.2 Luna, Pinguy OS 14.04, Pinguy OS 12.04, Peppermint Five, LXLE 14.04, Deepin 2014, Linux Lite 2.0 and other Ubuntu derivative systems.
Because it is available via PPA, installing LMMS 220.127.116.11 on the listed Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Elementary OS, Linux Lite, Peppermint, Deepin, LXLE and Pinguy OS systems is easy. All you have to do is add the ppa to your system, update the local repository index and install the lmms package. Like this:
$ sudo apt-add-repository ppa:kxstudio-debian/apps
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install lmms
How to remove LMMS 18.104.22.168:
