How To Install Master PDF Editor 1.9 On Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Debian, Fedora, OpenSUSE And Many Other Linux Systems

Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, Master PDF Editor is a multi-platform proprietary tool for editing PDF  and XPS files. The latest version available Master PDF Editor 1.9, which comes with some new and cool features.

Among other features brought to the new version, the search bar has been moved to the sidebar, in order to make searching easier for he users and corrected some integration issues with KDE and Gnome 2.

There is no repository available for Master PDF Editor, but it can be easily installed and used since it comes with some precompiled libraries. All you have to do to install it is to download the app, for your system’s architecture, extract the archive, add execution permission and exec the app:

Instructions for 32 bit systems:

$ wget -c
$ tar -xzvf MasterPDFEditor-1.9.00.i386.tar.gz
$ cd MasterPDFEditor
$ sudo chmod +x pdfeditor
$ ./pdfeditor

Instructions for 64 bit systems:

$ wget -c
$ tar -xzvf MasterPDFEditor-1.9.00.x86_64.tar.gz
$ cd MasterPDFEditor
$ sudo chmod +x pdfeditor
$ ./pdfeditor
