With both single player and multiplayer modes, it enables the users to craft items, walk, dig and build structures, and create new maps via the lightweight map generator. In this article I will show you how to install Minetest 0.4.10 on Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr, Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 17 Qiana, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 13 Maya, LXLE 14.04, Linux Lite 2.0, Peppemint Five, Deepin 2014, Elementary OS 0.3 Freya and other Ubuntu derivatives.

Because it is available via PPA, installing Minetest 0.4.10 on the listed Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Pinguy OS, Elementary OS, LXLE, Peppermint Five, Linux Lite and Deepin systems is easy. All you have to do is add the ppa to your system, update the local repository index and install the minetestc55 package. Like this:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:minetestdevs/stable
