How to Install MKVToolNix 6.2.0 on Ubuntu 13.04, 12.10, 12.04

In this article I will show how to install MKVToolNix 6.2.0 on Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal and Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin.

MKVToolNix is a Matroska (mkv) multimedia manipulation utility. You can edit mkv video files, split files, sync audio with video.

The latest version, MKVToolNix 6.2.0 brings a memore leaking fix.

In the latest Ubuntu versions, MKVToolNix part of the Universe repositories. All you have to do for installing MKVToolNix 6.2.0 on Ubuntu 13.04, 12.10, 12.04 is:

$ sudo apt-get install mkvtoolnix-gui
