Hello Linux Geeksters. Nautilus is the default file manager for the Gnome desktop environment. Its features are highly extendable, via some third party plugins. Nautilus Image Tools is a plugin created by the Atareao developers, enabling the users to convert images in different formats, resize, crop and rotate images via a simple click, directly from Nautilus.
The latest version available is Nautilus Image Tools 0.0.1.
In this article I will show you how to install Nautilus Image Tools 0.0.1 on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal and Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin.
Because it is available via PPA, installing Nautilus Image Tools 0.0.1 on the listed versions of Ubuntu is easy. All you have to do is add the ppa to your system, update the local repository index and install the nautilus-image-tools package. Like this:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:atareao/nautilus-extensions
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install nautilus-image-tools
