Hello Linux Geeksters. Noise is an open-source audio player, written in GTK3. Noise has just replaced BeatBox as the default audio player on Elementary OS 0.2 Luna.

In this article I will show you how to install the Noise music player on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 15 Olivia and Linux Mint 13 Maya.
Because it is available via the Elementary OS daily PPA, installing Noise on Ubuntu and Linux Mint is easy. All you have to do is:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:elementary-os/daily
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install noise
