Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, the Numix Halloween Wallpaper has been updated yesterday. Despite the fact that Halloween has passed a while ago, it still represents a pretty wallaper. The numix-wallpaper-halloween package comes with the above wallpaper, in two different resolutions: 2560×1600 and 2560×1440. For more information, see the official page.
In this article I will show you how to install the Numix Halloween Wallpaper 1.0 on Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr, Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia, Linux Mint 13 Maya, Pear OS 8, Pear OS 7 and Elementary OS 0.2 Luna.
Because it is available via PPA, installing Numix Halloween Wallpaper 1.0 on the listed Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Pear OS and Elementary OS systems is easy. All you have to do is add the ppa to your system, update the local repository index and install the numix-wallpaper-halloween package. Like this:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:numix/ppa
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install numix-wallpaper-halloween
For those who don’t know yet, the Numix theme creates many pretty themes for Ubuntu, with support for Gnome, Unity, XFCE and Openbox, being the firt one to create flat themes.
