Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, Pictoric is a simple Unity tool that enables the users to easily create slideshows from the jpg, jpeg and png files from a specific folder, at a given time interval.

In this article I will show you how to install Pictoric on Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 13 Maya and Elementary OS 0.2 Luna.

Because it is available for the listed Ubuntu, Linux Mint and Elementary OS systems via PPA, installing Pictoric is easy. All you have to do is add the repository to your system, update the local repository index and install the pictoric package. Like this:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:glacier-apps/pictoric
