Hello Linux Geeksters. Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, Pogo is a simple and lightweight easy-to-use Audio Player based on Decibel, written in Python and using GTK+ and gstreamer. It is capable of finding a song very fast, in the playlist. The latest version available is Pogo 0.8.2.
In this article I will show you how to install Pogo 0.8.2 on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia, Linux Mint 13 Maya, Pear OS 8, Pear OS 7 and Elementary OS 0.2 Luna.
Because it is available via PPA, installing Pogo 0.8.2 on Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Elementary OS and Pear OS is easy. All you have to do is add the ppa, update the local repository index and install the pogo package. Like this:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:pogo-dev/daily
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install pogo
