Hello Linux Geeksters. PokerTH is a Texas Hold’em Game, available under Linux, Unix and Windows systems. The latest version available is PokerTH 1.1, which has been recently released.
In this article I will show you how to install PokerTH 1.1 on Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr, Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Pear OS 8, Debian Jessie and Debian Sid.
For Ubuntu 14.04, Debian Jessie and Debian Sid, PokerTH 1.1 is available via the default repositories, so installing it is easy. Just do:
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install pokerth
For Ubuntu 13.10, Ubuntu 13.04, Linux Mint 16, Linux Mint 15, Pear OS 8, PokerTH 1.1 is available via some third party PPA. In order to install it, you have to add the ppa to your system, update the local repository index and install the pokerth package. Like this:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:pkg-games/ppa
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install pokerth
