Hello Linux Geeksters. As the name suggests, qBittorrent is a torrent client, similar to µTorrent, which was recently ported to the Linux systems. The latest version of qBittorrent, is qBittorrent 3.0.11, which comes with minor fixes and optimizations. For a list of features and changes, see the official site.
In this article I will show you how to install qBittorrent on Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia and Linux Mint 13 Maya.
Because it is available via PPA, installing qBittorrent 3.0.11 on Ubuntu and Linux Mint is easy. All you have to do is:
Add the PPA:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:hydr0g3n/qbittorrent-stable
Update the local repo index:
$ sudo apt-get update
Install qBittorrent:
$ sudo apt-get install qbittorrent
