Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, QMPlay2 is a cross-platform open-source Music Player, working on both Linux and Windows, having support for the most popular audio formats, including: OGG Vorbis, MP3, AAC, MODs, AudioCD, AIFF, WAV and FLAC.

The latest version available is QMPlay2 13.12.31, which has been recently released. For more information, see the official changelog.
In this article I will show you how to install QMPlay2 13.12.31 on Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr, Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia, Pear OS 8 and Pear OS 7.
Because it is available via PPA, installing QMPlay2 13.12.31 on the listed Ubuntu, Linux Mint and Pear OS is easy. All you have to do is add the ppa to your system, update the local repository index and install the qmplay2 package. Like this:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:samrog131/ppa
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install qmplay2
