Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, QWinFF is a graphical tool for converting multimedia files. It uses ffmpeg in the background and has a Qt interface. The latest version available is QWinFF 0.1.19, which has been released about 2 days ago.
The interface is very intuitive, allowing the users to easily convert and cut files, set bit-rates, volume levels, crop, resize and many other useful things.
In this article I will show you how to install QWinFF 0.1.19 on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia, Linux Mint 13 Maya and Elementary OS 0.2 Luna.
Because it is available via PPA, installing QWinFF 0.1.19 on Ubuntu, Linux Mint and Elementary OS is easy. All you have to do is add the ppa to your system, update the local repository index and install the qwinff package:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:lzh9102/qwinff
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install qwinff
