Because it is available via the GetDeb Repository, installing RemoteBox 1.8 on the listed Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Pinguy OS and Elementary OS systems is easy. All you have to do is add repository to your system and import the key, update the local repository index and install the remotebox package. Like this:

$ wget -q -O - http://archive.getdeb.net/getdeb-archive.key | sudo apt-key add -
$ sudo sh -c 'echo "deb http://archive.getdeb.net/ubuntu trusty-getdeb apps" >> /etc/apt/sources.list.d/getdeb.list'
$ sudo apt-get update

Optional, to remove RemoteBox, do:

$ sudo apt-get remove remotebox
