Via its intuitive graphical user interface, it enables the users to view the news in the built-in news feed, import and export feeds from other clients, recover the favicon of each feed via a dedicated tool, manage update intervals for the new content and is highly customizable.




The latest version available is RSS Guard 1.9.9.9, which has been recently released.

In this article I will show you how to install RSS Guard 1.9.9.9 on Fedora 20, Fedora 19, OpenSUSE 13.1 and OpenSUSE 12.3.

Follow the instructions for your system exactly, in order to get a successful installation.

How to install RSS Guard 1.9.9.9 on OpenSUSE 13.1:

$ zypper addrepo http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:skunkos/openSUSE_13.1/home:skunkos.repo
$ zypper refresh
$ zypper install rssguard-git

Optional, to remove RSS Guard, do:

$ sudo zypper remove rssguard-git

How to install RSS Guard 1.9.9.9 on OpenSUSE 12.3:

$ zypper addrepo http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:skunkos/openSUSE_12.3/home:skunkos.repo
$ zypper refresh
$ zypper install rssguard-git

Optional, to remove RSS Guard, do:

$ sudo zypper remove rssguard-git

How to install RSS Guard 1.9.9.9 on Fedora 20:

$ sudo cd /etc/yum.repos.d/
