      Try this:

      $ sudo sh -c ' echo "deb http://debian.scribus.net/debian/ raring main" >> /etc/apt/sources.list'
      $ gpg --keyserver wwwkeys.pgp.net --recv-keys EEF818CF
      $ gpg --armor --export EEF818CF | sudo apt-key add -
      $ sudo apt-get update
      $ sudo apt-get install scribus

      This will install scribus on Linux Mint 15, but I am not sure that the version from the repos is 1.4.4 and i don’t have LM15 to test it.
