Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, Shotwell is the default photo manager/organizer on Ubuntu and Fedora. The latest version available is Shotwell 0.14.1. For a full list of features, see the official changelog.

In this article I will show you how to install Shotwell 0.14.1 on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia and Linux Mint 13 Maya.
Because Shotwell 0.14.1 is available in the default repositories of Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Linux Mint 16 Petra and Linux Mint 15 Olivia, all you have to do is:
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install shotwell
To install Shotwell 0.14.1 on Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 14 Nadia and Linux Mint 13 Maya, do:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:yorba/ppa
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install shotwell
