As you may know, SoundKonverter is a tool for converting audio files, CD ripping, with support for the most popular audio file formats: flac, mp3, m4a, wma, ac3 and many others. The latest version available is SoundKonverter 2.0.4, which has been released recently. For a list of improvements, see the changelog.
In this article I will show you how to install SoundKonverter 2.0.4. on Debian Wheezy and Debian Squeeze.
The installation steps are very easy, because SoundKonverter 2.0.4 is available via PPA. Follow this steps for a successful installation:
Add the repository:
$ sudo sh -c 'echo "deb http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:HessiJames/Debian_7.0/ /" >> /etc/apt/sources.list.d/soundkonverter.list'
Download the repository key:
$ wget http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:HessiJames/Debian_7.0/Release.key
Add the key to the system:
$ sudo apt-key add - < Release.key
Update the local repository index:
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install soundkonverter
