In this article I will show you how to install Stellarium on Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia and Linux Mint 13 Maya.
Stellarium is a free open-source planetarium app that gives massive amount of functionlities to every planetarium maniac.
With Stellarium, you can find information about more than 600.000 stars by default, constellations, support for twelve cultures, realistic sunrise, sunset and atmosphere, planets and satellites and many other space information.
To install Stellarium 0.12.1 on Ubuntu and Linux Mint, by PPA:
Add the repo:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:stellarium/stellarium-releases
Update the system:
$ sudo apt-get update
Install Stellarium:
$ sudo apt-get install stellarium
