The latest version available is Telegram Desktop Alpha 0.5.13, which has been released a while ago.
In this article I will show you how to install Telegram Desktop Alpha 0.5.13 on Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Elementary OS, Pinguy OS, LXLE, Deepin, Linux Lite, Peppermint, Debian, Kwheezy, Crunchbang, SparkyLinux, Fedora, CentOS, OpenSUSE, Mageia, OpenMandriva and Arch Linux, Manjaro.
Follow the instructions for your system’s architecture exactly, in order to have a successful installation.
How to install Telegram Desktop 0.5.13 on 32 bit Linux s ystems:
$ wget https://tdesktop.com/linux32
$ tar -xJvf linux32
$ sudo mv Telegram /opt/telegram
$ sudo ln -sf /opt/telegram/Telegram /usr/bin/telegram
To start Telegram Destkop, open the terminal, type telegram and hit enter.
How to install Telegram Desktop 0.5.13 on 64 bit Linux s ystems:
$ wget https://tdesktop.com/linux
$ tar -xJvf linux
$ sudo mv Telegram /opt/telegram
$ sudo ln -sf /opt/telegram/Telegram /usr/bin/telegram
