As you may know, AMD Catalyst 13.30 RC3 Linux video driver has been released, coming with support for the following AMD/ATI graphics cards: AMD A10-7850K Desktop APU with AMD Radeon R7 Series graphics and AMD A10-7700K Desktop APU with AMD Radeon R5 Series graphics. How To Install AMD Catalyst 13.30 RC3 Drivers On Linux

In this article I will show you how to install the AMD Catalyst 13.30 RC3 drivers on the most popular Linux systems.

$ wget -c
$ unzip
$ cd fglrx-13.30
$ sudo chmod +x
$ ./

Since these instructions are generical, they work on Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Pear OS, Elementary OS, Debian, Fedora, CentOS, OpenSUSE, Mageia, Arch Linux and many others.

    Hi, I have this laptop ( It has the AMD Radeon R5 graphics card. I can’t even boot onto the Mint 17 LiveUSB. It loads the GRUB just fine, but when I make my selection to boot into Mint 17 (for trial or installation) it just has a black screen. Do you know how to fix this? The same thing happens with PartedMagic. I can’t boot into it either. Seems to be missing the graphics driver, I think, which is preventing Linux from loading. I believe this is the needed driver here:
