Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, Birdie is an open-source Twitter client, that gets integrated well in the Ubuntu menu. Birdie 0.3 has been just released. Among the new features, it fixed a long awaited conversation bug and added translations for different languages.
It is still under development, so it is not advisable to install it, unless you are a bleeding edge technology geek.
In this article I will show you how to install Birdie 0.3 on Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal and Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin.
Because it is available via PPA, installing Birdie 0.3 on Ubuntu is easy, all you have to do is:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:birdie-team/stable
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install birdie
