Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, Flowblade is an open source multitrack video editor, allowing the users to easily cut and join videos or create audio, videos and graphic files. The latest version available is Flowblade 0.10, which has been released a while ago. For a full list of changes, see the official release notes.

how to install Flowblade 0.10 on Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia, Linux Mint 13 Maya, Elementary OS 0.2 Luna.

In this article I will show you how to install Flowblade 0.10 on Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia, Linux Mint 13 Maya and Elementary OS 0.2 Luna.

Flowblade 0.10 is not available via PPA, so we have to download the deb package from the official site and install it by hand. Also, we have to install the mlt and frei0r packages, from a third party PPA, in order not to get dependency issues. Follow these instructions exactly, for a successful installation of Flowblade 0.10 on Ubuntu, Linux Mint and Elementary OS:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:sunab/kdenlive-release
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install mlt frei0r
$ wget -c flowblade.googlecode.com/files/flowblade_0.10.0-1_all.deb
$ sudo dpkg -i flowblade_0.10.0-1_all.deb
