Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, Kuaipan is cloud storage service used on Ubuntu Kylin and developed by the creators of the KingSoft Office. It offers the users 5 GB of web space and the possibility to synchronize files and folders.
The latest version of the client is Kuaipan 2.0, which has been released a while ago, coming with enhanced Unity integration, a new option for migrating Ubuntu One files to Kuaipan, an improved graphical user interface and better sync features. In this article I will show you how to install the Kuaipan client 2.0 on Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Pinguy OS, Elementary OS, Peppermint, LXLE and other Ubuntu derivative systems.
In order to install the Kuaipan client 2.0 on Ubuntu and derivatives, you have to download the deb package from the project’s site and install it via the command-line. I prefer gdebi over dpkg, due to the fact that it also handles dependencies.
