Hello Linux Geeksters. Touchpad Indicator is an applet that allows the user to easily disable and enable the laptop’s touchpad. The latest version available is Touchpad Indicator 1.0.1, which has been recently released.
In this article I will show you how to install Touchpad Indicator 1.0.1 on Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr.
Because it is available via PPA, installing Touchpad Indicator 1.0.1 on Ubuntu 14.04 is easy. All you have to do is add the ppa, update the local repository index and install the touchpad-indicator package. Like this:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:atareao/atareao
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install touchpad-indicator
Optional, remove touchpad-indicator:
$ sudo apt-get remove touchpad-indicator
