how to install TV-Browser 3.3.2 on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia, Linux Mint 13 Maya and Elementary OS 0.2 Luna.

In this article I will show you how to install TV-Browser 3.3.2 on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia, Linux Mint 13 Maya and Elementary OS 0.2 Luna.

There isn’t any repository for Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander and Linux Mint 16 Petra, but we can easily download TV-Browser 3.3.2 from the official site and install it with dpkg -i:

$ wget -c http://sourceforge.net/projects/tvbrowser/files/TV-Browser%20Releases%20%28Java%206%20and%20higher%29/3.3.2/tvbrowser_3.3.2-1_all.deb
$ sudo dpkg -i tvbrowser_3.3.2-1_all.deb

To install TV-Browser 3.3.2 on Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia, Linux Mint 13 Maya and Elementary OS 0.2 Luna, you have to add the GetDeb repository to your system, update the local index and install the tvbrowser package:

$ wget http://archive.getdeb.net/install_deb/getdeb-repository_0.1-1~getdeb1_all.deb
$ sudo dpkg -i getdeb-repository_0.1-1~getdeb1_all.deb
$ sudo apt-get update
$ $ sudo apt-get install tvbrowser
