Hello Linux Geeksters. In this article I will show you how to install uText on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia and Linux Mint 13 Maya.

uText is a simple text editor that allows users to write text and convert it to HTML, by using markdown. Markdown is just a text-to-html tool that helps the web writters / blogers do their jobs.
uText is devided in two halfs, the bottom area is where the text is added and the top area is where the user sees the HTML formated test. uText has some useful tools in the GUI, helping the user format its text easily.
To install uText on Ubuntu and Linux Mint, do:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:atareao/utext
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install utext markdown
