Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, Veusz is scientific plotting application suite that enables the users to create publication-ready Postscript or PDF output. It also supports SVG, EMF and bitmap, the data being read from CSV or FITS files. The latest version available is Veusz 1.20, which has been recently released.
In this article I will show you how to install Veusz 1.20 on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubunt 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia, Linux Mint 13 Maya, Pear OS 8, Pear OS 7 and Elementary OS 0.2 Luna.
Because it is available via PPA, install Veusz 1.20 on the listed Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Pear OS and Elementary OS systems is easy. All you have to do is add the ppa to your system, update the local repository index and install the veusz package. Like this:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:jeremysanders/ppa
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install veusz
