In this article I will show you how to install VirtualBox 4.2.18 on Fedora 19, Fedora 18, Fedora 17 and OpenSUSE 12.2.

VirtualBox 4.2.18 is not available via any repository yet, but it can be easily downloaded from the official site as rpm packages and installed by hand. Follow the instructions for your system and architecture exactly, in order to get a successful installation:

How to install VirtualBox 4.2.18 on Fedora 19 and Fedora 18:

For 32 bit systems:

$ wget -c download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/4.2.18/VirtualBox-4.2-4.2.18_88780_fedora18-1.i686.rpm
$ sudo rpm -i VirtualBox-4.2-4.2.18_88780_fedora18-1.i686.rpm

For 64 bit systems:

$ wget -c download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/4.2.18/VirtualBox-4.2-4.2.18_88780_fedora18-1.x86_64.rpm
$ sudo rpm -i VirtualBox-4.2-4.2.18_88780_fedora18-1.x86_64.rpm

How to install VirtualBox 4.2.18 on Fedora 17:

For 32 bit systems:

$ wget -c download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/4.2.18/VirtualBox-4.2-4.2.18_88780_fedora17-1.i686.rpm
$ sudo rpm -i VirtualBox-4.2-4.2.18_88780_fedora17-1.i686.rpm

For 64 bit systems:

$ wget -c download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/4.2.18/VirtualBox-4.2-4.2.18_88780_fedora17-1.x86_64.rpm
