Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, VLC 2.1.2 has been released yesterday, coming only with bugfixes. VLC 2.1.2 is available via PPA, only for Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander and derivates.
In this article I will show you how to install VLC 2.1.2 on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander and Linux Mint 16 Petra.
Because it has been added to the VLC Stable PPA about 17 hours ago, VLC 2.1.2 can be easilly installed on Ubuntu 13.10 and Linux Mint 16. All you have to do is:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:videolan/stable-daily
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install vlc
