Hello Mageia Users.
In this article I will show you how to install VLC (videolan codec) on Mageia 3 and Mandriva Linux Operating Systems.
Because VLC is available in the default repositories, all you have to do is install it and its dependencies:
Open a terminal, switch to root and install all the needed packages, like this:
$ su root
# urpmi libdvdplay0 wxvlc vlc-plugin-a52 vlc-plugin-ogg vlc-plugin-mad libmatroska0 libdvdcss2
Now you are good to go. The following command should install VLC on Mageia / Mandriva successfully.
