Hello Linux Geeksters. In this article I will show you how to install Webmin 1.6.3 on Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Debian Wheezy and Debian Squeeze.

Webmin is a browser-based configuration tool for Linux systems. By using it, you can easily manage user accounts, disk quotas, services, configuration files, et cetera. It is quite a usefull admin tool.
Let’s start. Before installing Webmin on Debian, we need to install the needed dependencies:
$ sudo apt-get install apt-show-versions libapt-pkg-perl libauthen-pam-perl libio-pty-perl libnet-ssleay-perl
Download Webmin*.deb package from sourceforce:
$ wget -c downloads.sourceforge.net/project/webadmin/webmin/1.630/webmin_1.630_all.deb?r=&ts=1370273316&use_mirror=freefr
Install Webmin:
$ sudo dpkg -i webmin_1.630_all.deb
$ sudo apt-get install -f
After the installation is complete, to access Webmin, type https://localhost:10000 in your internet browser.
Just login with your user and password and start managing things up!
