Also, the following games work better on Wine: Max Payne 2, Bioshock, Battlefield Bad Company 2, Split Second, Post Apocalyptic Mayhem, Dragon Age 2, Battle City, Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3.
In this article I will show you how to install Wine 1.7.6 on Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr, Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia, Linux Mint 13 Maya, Pear OS 8, Pear OS 7 and Elementary OS 0.2 Luna.
Because it will be soon available via PPA, installing Wine 1.7.6 on the listed Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Pear OS and Elementary OS systems is easy. All you have to do is add the ppa to your system, update the local repository index and install the wine1.7 and winetricks packages. Like this:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install wine1.7 winetricks
