Hello Linux Geeksters. As you may know, the XFWM4 Composite Editor (also known as XFCE4 Composite Editor) is a tool enabling the users to customize the XFCE window manager. It has a simple and intuitive graphical user interface, permitting the users to adjust the opacity, length and height of the windows, and many others.

The latest version available is XFWM4 Composite Editor 2.0, which has been released a while ago, coming with changes.
In this article I will show you how to install XFWM4 Composite Editor 2.0 on Xubuntu 14.10 Utopic Unicorn, Xubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr and other Ubuntu 14.10 and Ubuntu 14.04 derivative systems that use XFCE as the default desktop environment.
Because it is available via PPA, installing XFWM4 Composite Editor 2.0 on Xubuntu 14.10 and Xubuntu 14.04 systems is easy. All you have to do is add the ppa to your system, update the local repository index and install the xfce4-composite-editor package. Like this:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:rebuntu16/other-stuff
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install xfwm4-composite-editor
To start the application, just open a terminal, type xfwm4-composite-editor and hit enter.
Optional, to remove xfwm4-composite-editor, do:
$ sudo apt-get remove xfwm4-composite-editor
