Hello Linux Geeksters. Xnoise is a free music and video player, available for Ubuntu and Linux Mint. Xnoise is a player based on GTK and written in Vala. It has a simple interface, where you can search for music, queue the songs in the tracklist and play them.

The latest version available is Xnoise 0.2.19, which has been added released on launchpad 6 hours ago. For a list of new features and fixes, see the changelog.
In this article I will show you how to install Xnoise 0.2.19 on Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia, Linux Mint 13 Maya and Elementary OS 0.2 Luna.
Because it is available via PPA, installing Xnoise 0.2.19 on Ubuntu, Linux Mint and Elementary OS is easy. All you have to do is add the ppa, update the local repository index and install the xnoise package. Like this:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:shkn/xnoise
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install xnoise
