Y PPA Manager is an usefull tool, allowing you to add, remove / purge PPAs easier, or search for packages in all the Launchpad PPAs, update only a certain ppa, with sudo update-ppa [REPOSITORY], delete duplicate PPAs, and more. The latest Y PPA Manager version is Y PPA Manager 0.9.9.2., which comes with support for Ubuntu 14.04 and Linux Mint 16.
In this article I will show you how to install Y PPA Manager 0.9.9.2 on Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr, Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Linux Mint 16 Petra, Linux Mint 15 Olivia, Linux Mint 14 Nadia, Linux Mint 13 Maya, Pear OS 8, Pear OS 7 and Elementary OS 0.2 Luna.
Because it is available via PPA, installing Y PPA Manager 0.9.9.2 on Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Pear OS and Elementary OS is easy. All you have to do is add the ppa to your system, update the local repository index and install the y-ppa-manager package. Like this:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/y-ppa-manager
