The latest version available is HPLIP 3.14.3, which has been recently released, getting support for Debian 7.4, Debian 7.3, Debian 6.0.9, Fedora 20, Ubuntu 13.10 and Linux Mint 16. HPLIP 3.14.3 Has Been Released + Installation Instructions

In this article I will show you how to install HPLIP 3.14.3 on the most popular Linux systems, including Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Elementary OS, Debian, Fedora and OpenSUSE.

Because the HPLIP drivers come as a precompiled binary file, all you have to do is download the driver, set execution permissions and run the installer. Like this:

$ wget http://sourceforge.net/projects/hplip/files/hplip/3.14.3/hplip-3.14.3.run
$ sudo chmod +x hplip-3.14.3.run
$ sudo ./hplip-3.14.3.run
