BleachBit is the Linux and Unix alternative for the Windows CCleaner. And of course, it is an open source software.

BleachBit cleans your computer of junk files that are useless to you or the operationg system, the temporary files and internet cookies.
This is how you install BleachBit on Ubuntu 12.10/12.04 and Linux Mint 13/14.
Download the BleachBit deb file for Ubuntu 12.10 and Linux Mint 14 (this is the download link):

Download the BleachBit deb file for Ubuntu 12.04 and Linux Mint 13 (this is the download link):

Install BleachBit:
$ sudo dpkg -i bleachbit*
