Install Caffeine on Mageia 2

Caffeine is a small software that prevents the system from suspending when using some specified software.

I use caffeine to forbid my system to suspend when watching movies.

In this article I will show you how to install Caffeine on Mageia 2. Because Mageia is based on Mandriva 2010, the caffeine*.rpm package for Mandriva 2010 works also on Mageia 2.

Install Caffeine on Mageia 2:

To install Caffeine on Mageia 2, you have to follow these two steps.

1. Download the caffeine*.rpm package.
$ wget mirror.yandex.ru/mandriva/official/2010.2/i586/media/contrib/backports/caffeine-2.2.386-1mdv2010.2.noarch.rpm

2. Install the caffeine*.rpm package:
$ sudo rpm -i caffeine*.rpm
