As you may know, Dukto is an open-source, multi-platform file transfer tool that enables the users to easily send files from one computer to another, via LAN, without requiring any configuration to be done.

To use it, you have to install Dukto on the machines you want to transfer files to/from and launch the app. The app recognizes the other systems running Dukto on LAN and so, you can start the file transfer. By default, the files will be saved in your home directory. Among others, the users can send text, data from clipboard, files and folders via this app.

The latest version available is Dukto 6, which has been released a while ago.

To install Dukto on OpenSUSE 13.2 and OpenSUSE 13.1, you only need to add the repository to your system, refresh the repo index and install the dukto package.

How to install Dukto 6 on OpenSUSE 13.2:

Instructions for both 32 bit and 64 bit systems:

$ sudo wget download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/colomboem/openSUSE_13.2/home:colomboem.repo -O /etc/zypp/repos.d/home:colomboem.repo
$ sudo zypper update
$ sudo zypper install dukto

How to install Dukto 6 on OpenSUSE 13.1:

Instructions for both 32 bit and 64 bit systems:

$ sudo wget download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/colomboem/openSUSE_13.1/home:colomboem.repo -O /etc/zypp/repos.d/home:colomboem.repo
$ sudo zypper update
$ sudo zypper install dukto

Optional, to remove dukto, from both 32 bit and 64 bit OpenSUSE systems, do:

$ sudo zypper remove dukto
