As you may know, eViacam (Enable Viacam) is an open-source software for controlling the mouse via your computer’s webcam. The better the webcam is, the better the mouse movements gets. Among others, it allows the users to change the pointer speed, the dwelling time and motion acceleration.
The latest version available is eViacam 2.0.2, which has been released a while ago.
Up to date packages are available via some third PPA, so installing the software on Ubuntu 16.04 Xenial Xerus, Ubuntu 15.10 Wily Werewolf systems is easy. All you need to do is add the PPA to your system, update the local repository index and install the eviacam package:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:cesar-crea-si/eviacam
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install eviacam
Optional, to remove eviacam, do:
$ sudo apt-get remove eviacam
