As you may know, FeedReader is an open-source client for RSS-services, specially designed for Elementary OS 0.3. The app has support for desktop notifications and an responsive design.
The latest version available is FeedReader 1.2.1, which brings the below changes:
- added: built-time-switch for Webkit2Gtk 4.0
- added: missing tooltips
- added: remove articles from unread/marked list when it makes sense
- fixed: active article removed from list after sync
Installation instructions:
Up to date packages are available via some third party PPA, so installing the software on Elementary OS 0.3 Freya systems is easy. Add the PPA to your system, update the local repository index and install the feedreader package:
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:eviltwin1/feedreader-stable
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install feedreader
Optional, to remove feedreader, do:
$ sudo apt-get remove feedreader
