Gis Weather 0.7.8.5 Brings Small Fixes Only

As you may know, Gis Weather is a customizable widget that displays the weather forecast of our chosen places, on the desktop. It shows temperature, wind, humidity for today and the next few days.

The latest version available is Gis Weather 0.7.8.5, which has been recently released, bringing a few changes:

  • Fix: Author name if icons or bg from user path
  • Added new background «Gray»
  • Fix: Hotfix accuweather add new location

Install Gis Weather On Ubuntu Via PPA

Installation instructions:

The latest Gis Weather versions are available via some third party PPA, so installing it on all the supported Ubuntu systems is easy. Just add the PPA to your system, update the local repository index and install the gis-weather package:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:noobslab/apps
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install gis-weather

Optional, to remove gis-weather, do:

$ sudo apt-get remove gis-weather

The installation instructions should work on Ubuntu 15.04 Vivid Vervet, Ubuntu 14.10 Utopic Unicorn, Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr, Linux Mint 17.2 Rafaela, Linux Mint 17.1 Rebecca, Linux Mint 17 Qiana, Linux Mint 13 Maya, Pinguy OS 14.04, Elementary OS 0.3 Freya, Elementary OS 0.2 Luna, Deepin 2014, Peppermint 6, Peppermint 5, LXLE 14.04 and Linux Lite 2.
